Ceramic elements are used in many industries for many applications – usually where light is either not required or especially not wanted. They are also the most effective form of radiant emitter on the market. Ceramic elements operate in the temperature of 300°C to 700°C (572°F – 1292°F) producing infrared wavelengths in the 2 – 10 micron range. Most plastics and many other materials absorb infrared best in this range. This is why most plastics manufacturers use ceramic emitters. Ceramic elements are a large part of Thermal Products product range. We hold hundreds of full trough, half trough, flat and bulb emitters on the shelf. Most stock is glazed white as standard. However, we do stock limited quantities of yellow glazed FTEs & HTEs. Other colours that are available, but not stocked in Australia, are rose and black.

FULL TROUGH ELEMENT (IFTE)

Full Trough Elements are a curved ceramic element 245×60mm with mounting neck behind the emitter. Available in wattages from 150W to 1000W with or without a thermocouple.K Type thermocouple is available as a standard. We can also supply these with a J Type thermocouple, and can have them pre-calibrated prior to being shipped from Ireland.

These elements are made in a bulb shape are predominantly used for animal husbandry.

These ceramic bulbs have a standard Edison Screw base (27mm).

Full Flat Element (IFFE)

The IFFE is the same dimensions as the IFTE element (245x60mm), however the face of the element is not curved, therefore its mounting profile is slightly less than the IFTE at 24mm.

Available in same wattages as the IFTE element, from 150W to 1000W, with or without a thermocouple.

Quartz Elements

Full Quartz - Half Quartz - Quarter Quartz - Square Quartz - Single Tube Quartz Heater - Pillared Full Quartz - Pillared Half Quartz

Quartz infrared heating Elements provide medium wave infrared radiation. They are favoured in industrial applications where rapid heater response is necessary, including systems with long heater off cycles.

  • Quartz infrared heating elements are particularly effective in systems where rapid heater response and/or zone controlled heating is required.
  • They have a broad emission spectrum and cover various absorption ranges.
  • Pillared quartz elements have the same mounting fixture as ceramic elements allowing replacement without difficulty.
  • This is ideal for design alternation involving the use of materials with different absorption characteristics.

The P.A.S. can be fixed directly to walls and angled to give the most effective coverage of the area to be heated. They are very effective in areas where doors are continuously being opened or insulation is poor.
