Ceramic elements are used in many industries for many applications – usually where light is either not required or especially not wanted. They are also the most effective form of radiant emitter on the market.
Ceramic elements operate in the temperature of 300°C to 700°C (572°F – 1292°F) producing infrared wavelengths in the 2 – 10 micron range. Most plastics and many other materials absorb infrared best in this range. This is why most plastics manufacturers use ceramic emitters.
Ceramic elements are a large part of Thermal Products product range. We hold hundreds of full trough, half trough, flat and bulb emitters on the shelf.
Most stock is glazed white as standard. However, we do stock limited quantities of yellow glazed FTEs & HTEs. Other colours that are available, but not stocked in Australia, are rose and black.

FULL TROUGH ELEMENT (IFTE)

Full Trough Elements are a curved ceramic element 245×60mm with mounting neck behind the emitter. Available in wattages from 150W to 1000W with or without a thermocouple.K Type thermocouple is available as a standard. We can also supply these with a J Type thermocouple, and can have them pre-calibrated prior to being shipped from Ireland. |

QUARTER CURVE ELEMENT (IQCE)

A 61×60mm element with a more distinct curve, the distance from the front of the emitter to the back of the mounting neck is 41mm instead of the standard 31mm. Available in wattages of 125W & 250W. This product is not held in Australia at this time. |

EDISON SCREW ELEMENT (IESE)

These elements are made in a bulb shape are predominantly used for animal husbandry. These ceramic bulbs have a standard Edison Screw base (27mm). They are available in 60W-500W in various sizes. The following table show the different sizes available: |

FULL FLAT ELEMENT (IFFE)

The IFFE is the same dimensions as the IFTE element (245x60mm), however the face of the element is not curved, therefore its mounting profile is slightly less than the IFTE at 24mm. Available in same wattages as the IFTE element, from 150W to 1000W, with or without a thermocouple. Thermocouple units are not currently stocked in Australia. |

The Centrifugal Blower Heaters we can supply, incorporate a fan speed control which provides continuosly variable air volumes between max, & Minimum Speeds. Noise levels of the fan are relatively low, enabling these fan heaters to be used for comfort heating and ventilation in a variety of commercial and industrial solutions as well as process heating applications. These Units can be coupled to a duct system or, if desired mounted on a strong wall or ceiling using the optional wall bracket. A variety of Room Thermostats can be used to control the unit as well.

Axial Blower Heaters

The Axial Fan Heaters we can supply provide a very low initial cost per installed kilowatt, create maximum draught but have maximum resistance to physical impact making it ideal for school halls, sports areas and the like. Whilst ideal for an on/off operation in "fix and forget" installations, their simplicity means that they can also be flexibly employed in many industrial heating situations. An optional Trolley is also available for potable applications. |

Bunghole Heaters

Wax Immersion

The Wax Immersion heater is supplied with a thermostat, lead and 3 point plug top. The heater is placed on top of the solid surface of the drum contents and then it progressivly melts its way down the drum. Used for solidified materials such as waxes and pharmaceutical products where heat penetration is difficult. |
