Floor Heating

Inslab Heating

In-slab h4 Reating uses heating cables embedded in a concrete slab floor to provide home heating. The slab stores the heat at night and releases it to provide continuous warmth to the home during the day. It also takes advantage of off-peak heating rates – and can be used in combination with other systems or as stand-alone heating using some day-rate energy.
In-slab heating is generally used in new constructions but can also be used on top of an existing slab – providing there is a sufficient top cover of new cement of at least 25mm.

Under Tile Heating

4 R

Under-tile heating is a floor heating system designed primarily for existing homes with either cement or timber floors where the heating is provided by in-screed cables.

This type of heating is often known as ‘direct acting’ due to its ability to heat up quickly.  Under-tile heating may also be called ‘in-screed heating’ because the cables are not installed within a full concrete slab, but rather covered with a cement-based screed.

Heating Mats

floormat_therm

The ELEKTRA Heating Mat features a twin-heating cable attached to a fibreglass mat with a single-sided power supply and is thermostat controlled.

ELEKTRA Heating Mats may be used under any type of floor suitable for heating; ie. under any floor which radiates heat easily, such as floor tiles, slate, low pile carpet or some wooden floor panels. They are fixed directly to a prepared floor in a screed of self-levelling compound or a cement-based screed.

At 0.5m wide and available in lengths from 2m to 16m they can be easily shaped to suit the floor layout. No special tools are required.
