HOTPLATES
Electric hotplates are one of our most commonly sold spare parts. There are hundreds of thousands electric hobs in Australia, and we carry 95% of the replacement elements on the shelf. We also stock the solid hotplates as used in Commercial applications.

COILED - PLUG-IN
These elements are not wired directly into the hob. They have various types of pins on them that plug into a (usually) ceramic terminal block (socket) that is mounted and hard wired to the rest of the Hob. This is done to make it easier to remove/replace the elements for maintenance and replacement parts.

COILED - WIRED
These elements are usually fixed to the hob by the mounting bracket at the termination point and hard wired into the hob. Most of the more recently manufactured hobs that utilise coil style hotplates have this arrangement to reduce the manufacturing costs of adding a ceramic terminal block.

SOLID
These elements are used predominantly in domestic bench hobs and upright stoves. All are held on the shelf.

Some of the elements listed here are a duplication of the Solid hotplates as shown above. However, they are listed by EGO part number. These pages also have a complete list of older EGO part numbers and their current replacements.
You can find all of the EGO hotplates manufactured for domestic and commercial applications as used in Australia & New Zealand up to 2003 on the following pages. Thermal Products stocks most of these parts.

UNDER HOB
These elements are mounted underneath a glass panel in some of the more recently manufactured upright stoves and bench hobs. Unfortunately, not all of the following parts are available anymore.
