Water Heating Requirements
We stock a large number of Water Heating products covering domestic hot water systems, commercial catering ie urns, bain maries etc, through to high power industrial units. From Bolt on to Screw-in B.S.P elements through to Bobbin elements, Thermostats and Sacrificial Anodes, we cover all you water heating requirements.
Bolt On Water Heating Elements
All Bolt On elements are resistance earthed and supplied with 4 Bolts and a gasket. Leads are rated at 15A, 240V up to and including 3600W elements and at 20A, 240V for 4800W elements. Bolt On elements consist of a heating element spiral enclosed in a tubular metal sheath. compacted magnesium oxide is used to insulate the heating element. The Terminal ends of the sheath are sealed against moisture penetration. There are a 2 Different configurations Double Loop (DL) and Sickle.

Water Heating Thermostats
Thermostats automatically maintain a pre-determined temperature by controlling the supply of energy to the element. Some electric hot water storage systems are fitted with an additional element to serve as a booster. This element has its own thermostat and is located at the top of the cylinder where water is drawn off for use.

Sacrificial Anodes
A Sacrificial Anode is a piece of more readily-corrodible metal attached by a conductive solid to a less readily-corrodible metal, with both metals immersed in a conductive liquid, typically fresh or salt water. The more active metal corrodes first and generally must oxidize nearly completely before the less active metal will corrode, thus acting as a barrier against corrosion for the protected metal.
